Books you NEED to read

Hello everybody! I apologise for failing to upload any blogposts recently and my previous post was very short and not very interesting. I have come back with a new blog post all about books! Recently I have been loving reading and I have found a few books that I loved reading that I want to share with you all!

I'm only going to share a few books because if I say them all this blog post would go on forever! I post a lot of pictures of what I'm reading ( or what I have read in the past ) on my Instagram and love to get book recommendations from you guys!

The Divergent series by Veronica Roth ~ 

I would have to say this book series is my favourite. They are amazing books. The series is about a girl called Tris and all about her being 'Divergent' and how she has to hide that from other people in order to survive. My favourite book out of the three ( not including the extra book Four which is also amazing ) has to be Divergent as it is the first book and I love a lot of the characters . If you aren't into reading I would definately reccomend watching the Divergent film an then after that Insurgent because they are really good! ( Theo James who plays Four is my favourite person ever )

I have already talked about Divergent which is in this picture but I also love these other three books.

The unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin ~

I have only recently read this book ( after my sisters recommendation ) and I loved it a lot! There are other books in the series that I have yet to read.

Paper towns by John Green ~

John Green is an absolute legend! This book is very good and if you loved The fault in our stars then you will LOVE this book. ( The film is amazing too except the ending is a bit disappointing )

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ~

This book is very relatable as I am a bit of a fangirl myself! I had heard lots of people talking about this book and I read this book when I was on holiday and loved every bit of it! ( The milkshake in this picture was very nice too )

I hope you have all enjoyed this blogpost whether or not you are into reading like I am! I used to not read because I thought it was boring but as soon as you start you can't stop and soon you end up having book shelves full of books.

Healthy breakfast smoothie recipe

Hello! Firstly I want to appoligise for not uploading a post in a while. I'm back at school therefor I haven't had the time to blog like I did in the holidays. Secondly this blogpost is a bit random but anyway I hope you enjoy it! x

< what you will need > 

• Strawberries

•Grapes

•Red currents ( you can use pretty much any type of berry like cherries or raspberries )

•Half a banana

•Greek Style yoghurt with honey ( you can add any flavour of yoghurt to this smoothie! Frozen yoghurt would make this smoothie even better)

•Coconut water ( orange juice would also  go well with this smoothie )

•Granola ( you can either add this in the smoothie or sprinkle on the top, I did both )

All you need to do is chop up everything and chuck it ( not literally ) into a blender! I use my blend active which is really easy to use! 

To make this smoothie even better ( and more Instagram worthy ) pour your smoothie into a mason jar and add a cute straw because why not? 

This is what my smoothie looked like once I had finished making it! I would also recommend reading A Work In Progress by Connor Franta ( who is one of my favourite youtubers ) because it is a truly beautiful & Inspiring book to read.

A quick little Q&A

Q&A

So for today's blogpost I have decided to do a Q&A! I thought you guys should get to know me a bit better and doing a Q&A is perfect to do that. I asked you guys on instagram to give me some random questions and I am going to answer them in this post!

♥ What are your ambitions for the next five years? ♥ 

Hmmm this is a good question! I have two years left at school and then two years of college before I decide what to do with my life so I want to get good grades ( obviously ) and keep this blog and my instagram going because I love taking pictures and posting for you guys!

♥ How many concerts have you been to? ♥

I have only been to one concert and that was One Direction's Take Me Home tour in 2013. It was AMAZING. ( I am a big 1D fan ) and I am actually going to see them again in October and I'm very excited.

♥ What is my holy grail beauty product? ♥

Well at the moment I have been loving my Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, they are really affordable and are a really good quality. I also love my Benefit They're Real mascara.

♥ What is my favourite shop? ♥

This is hard because I have about 100 different favourite shops but if I had to pick 5 they would be ....

Topshop, H&M, Sass & Belle,  Superdrug and TK maxx ( I love going in and having a good old browse, you can sometimes find some great bargains in there :) ) 

♥ Who is my idol? ♥

I have a lot of idols really and I would have to say I love Jennifer Lawrence because she is just amazing. I would also say Connor Franta. I have recently read his book ( A work in progress ) and thought it was truly inspirational. I have been watching his videos for a couple of years now and it's amazing to see how far he has come and some of the charity work he does is incredible too.

♥ Who is my favourite youtuber? ♥

You might already know I am a huge fan of youtubers. I would have to say my favourite is Joe Sugg  because he is hilarious and his videos are always original. I love pretty much all the Youtubers but Joe is my fave.

♥ If I were a tea, what type of tea would I be? ♥

This one is great thank you @goddess_nika ;) hmmmm I think I would have to be Peach Ice Tea because I love ice tea!

♥ What is my favourite thing in my room? ♥

I love pretty much everything in my room, but I would have to say I looovvvee my fairy lights and polaroids that hang above my bed.

Summer Room Decor

Today's blogpost is all about how to decorate your room and some cute ideas and ways to decorate your room! I have always had an interest in interior design ever since I was little, so redecorating and rearranging my room is one of my favourite things to do. I post a lot of photos of parts of my room on my instagram account ( @kate.livyy )and when I asked what blogpost people wanted to see a lot of people said Room Decoration ideas. Here are some tips and ideas on how to make the perfect bedroom!

♡ My Room ♡

Previously my room was very dark and seemed small because the walls were full of posters.I realised that taking them down would make my room a lot more spacious and let a lot more light in. My room is very girly and I get a lot of my inspiration from other Instagram accounts or apps like We heart it or Tumblr.

♡ Wall decorations ♡ 

I really love this gorgeous picture holder! I got it for my birthday but I believe it came from Debenhams.I printed of lots of photo's that I had taken or that I had got from We Heart It like of some of my favourite quotes and people. I also added in some cute postcards I had collected and some of my polaroid pictures I had taken with my camera.

 In the corner of my room I have hung up some pastel paper balls which you can pretty much buy in lots of super markets and stationary stores. I bought another photo holder which I just have lots of cute pictures and postcards on it. Around my whole room I have hung up floral bunting, it looks really cute and vintage.

This is one of my favourite things in my room. It is a heart made out of photos ( if you haven't already noticed I love having lots of photos up on my wall ) which I ordered from Polagram. I have seen lots of other people doing this in there room and you could rearrange the photos into other shapes and easily order differernt photos when you want to change them.

♡ Shelve decoration ♡

In my room I have a group of 8 shelves from Ikea that I have decorated all differently. Here are some pictures of one of them and how I decorated it.

 

The boxes on the right are both from Cath Kidston and the three notebooks on top are from Cath Kidston as well. I store random bits and pieces in it and think it looks really cute.

Here's a cute D.I.Y that is really easy to do. All you have to do is buy a frame, mine is from Paperchase. Then print off a quote and put it in the frame. It is really simple but looks really pretty and you could even hang it up on a wall with some other frames and different quotes or pictures. 

These are a few of my favourite books from some of my favourite Youtubers and some other books. I think they look great on my shelve next to the boxes because they all have really cute covers. 

I mentioned all about this fawn on my previous blogpost. I love how it is vintage and fawns are one of my favourite animals ( bambi is one of my favourite films ).

♡ Making your room cozy ♡

 If you're like me, I tend spend a lot of time in my room so it needs to be cozy. Here are a few things you could add to your room to make it a little bit more comfortable.

Cushions are a must have on any bed because they make it look pretty and also comfy! These cushions are all very cute and some are really cheap. The cushion furthest to the left is from Primark, the Thumper cushion and the unicorn pug cushion are both from Tesco and the party ring cushion ( which is my favourite ) is from Sass & Belle.

Fairy lights make a room look very cute and cozy. These are battery powered lantern fairy lights from Amazon look amazing hanging down a wall.

Fairy lights also look good around a mirror and on your bed.

An introduction to my new blog!

Hi firstly my name is Kate Wilson and i'm 14 years old and live in England. You may or may not be following my insagram account @kate.livyy, I post pictures and share pictures of things I love and think my followers would like to see. From beauty, fashion and room details to food and drink or places I have been to. I decided to make a blog because I have been taking photos for my instagram account for over half of a year and thought that maybe I could make a blog too.
